Whatever I perceive as perfect is dependent on what I choose to think. It is my responsibility to notice the changes and choose how to grow with it. Even if imperfection is met, I can find how it perfectly fits as I focus on being who I am. Perfect is not real until I believe it is.

 Viewing my soul as the consistent root of my person, I am grateful for its grounded values and how it held me to who I am in difficult moments. For the times I thought I needed to be something else, it saved me  by continuing to believe and guiding me to be myself.

Reflecting on dealing with adversity and how my choices shaped my life. I have grown a lot and have much to appreciate because I chose curiosity and found my enjoyment. As long as I keep recognizing the ways that I grow, I will find my way to flow.

 My life experience taught me to focus on something to learn rather than feed negative reactions.Sensing change, it is better to flow with the situation instead of resisting or trying to get my way. Allowing life to guide me, I choose to appreciate the moment and make the best of it. Reflecting on the situation can be done after the process has completed.

Imagine yourself as the blooming flower that you are and open yourself to share beauty. Reach for your light, blossom out of the darkness staying grounded while discovering new heights.

 As comforting as knowledge can be to have, there are situations that require me to think quickly to survive. When intuition is required over knowledge, I must be ready to drop what I know, listen to what is and trust in what I feel.

 I was taught that having knowledge and being able to recite it would prove my intelligence and assist my survival. My life doesn’t align with that and I’ve learned that a curiosity for learning and a willingness to accept not-knowing offers more discoveries and allows me to survive with the treasure I held within.

Without reflection, what we pick up along our journey remain as forgotten treasures. Bravely unwrapping the package within helps us to realize our significance and stop avoiding who we are. Everything we pick up gives meaning to who we are.

 Reflecting on what my experience with seizure recoveries taught me. Acceptance and a willingness to learn turned adversity into blessings.

Coming away from the idea that love is something we own or control, this poem is a reflection on my belief that love is a life energy that exists for all.

Noticing that partners in a relationship are different and complement each other. Understanding that neither knows what will happen but both can decide how to make the best of what they have together.

To be conscious of now, I had to explore my past, forgive what had to be and sort through what is no longer necessary.

The choice to ‘give it your all’ is an act of Divine love. It means a lot and matters to our outcomes.
