Listening to Intuition

The interesting thing I've learned about listening to Intuition is that you must be ready to act on impulse, know your purpose and be ready to adapt to changes. The messages we pick up on will come spontaneously. Knowing our purpose allows us to quickly measure what it means to us and make a choice to act. Deciding to act in honor of what we hear means that we don't yet know the details and we must stay open to the mistakes and learn what our Intuition is guiding us into.
Imagine knowing that you want to spend time with friends on a long weekend but you're not completely sure why. Something in you says to try even though it's likely that they already have plans. You know it's important to you and as that reason becomes clear to you, you start to see how you can make it happen, even if they're busy on that weekend. Knowing your purpose and the areas that can be adjusted lets you be more flexible to make it happen in a different way. What you envisioned when you felt the Intuition changes but you have accepted that other matters are important, too. You've adapted to the situation to make what you want happen. After the plans are set, there's also the waiting period until the event where you can be excited but must also be ready to flow with changes. Not to say that what we plan never happens, it's a way of respecting that life happens and admitting that we don't control how it flows.
In my experience, acting on impulse is a step toward learning. I've learned that it's okay to not know from the start, it's important to listen to my Intuition and that there's more to learn and listen to after I decide to act. To listen to the unknown is to agree to grow. You don't have to be in control but you can enjoy the gifts laid on the path.
