Ingredients Mixed Together

I was taken out of my safe cove and placed into a new light. They were eager to have me express my value but I didn't know what they envisioned for me. They gathered others from different coves and they put us into one container. I was able to blend in with some but some I couldn't mesh with.

Confused with what was expected and trying to be myself while with others surrounding me, I wondered what mixing us together would accomplish.

When we smoothly got along in our container, the creator transferred us into smaller containers. I could leave those I didn't mesh with, as well as some that I smoothly blended with. Who was I now after that experience in the first container? Was I everything I am meant to be or was there more to come? My new container was temporarily set to chill in a box and I got to adjust to the new setting but then the creator placed us into a heated dungeon. We stayed close together knowing nothing to do but to adjust with what we had. We found ways to grow and change color and, thankfully, that led to being taken out of the dungeon.

We cooled off in the new light and admired our new forms. Having been mixed together and sharing our gifts, we were now an offering being met with eager smiles as we once again are taken apart to share our gifts.

It is amazing to be chosen to share my gifts, meet others with gifts to blend with and know that we could all survive the chilled box and heated dungeon to become something that sparked bright smiles. I may not have known from the start what I was being pulled out for but it turned into a rich experience with many others. I'm grateful to the creator for recognizing me.

Reflective Qs:

  1. What is the ‘safe cove’ referring to?

  2. Have you had challenges meshing and blending in your life?

  3. Do you find richness in experiences you didn't understand at the start?

Author’s Note: I was thinking about how lives can be treated like ingredients for future projects and imagined the growing up and going to school process as a baking process.
