I am the Fruit of My Experience
When life deals cards that feel like they are beyond my control, it would be easy to think that I have no choice and am a human being who is powerless and must abide. If I choose to believe that I am a victim under external control, I hand over any control I do have and succumb to being powerless. Life is meant to be fueled by love and is available for all. Why would I be singled out and condemned to nothingness? How does that make sense? What if there is more for me but it requires my hard work to realize it? What if these circumstances are like nutrients to nurture what I am meant to be? Could I accept what I can't control and work in small steps on what I can control? What purpose should I stick to? What do I need as a motivator?
If I choose to accept what I can't change and place my concentration on what I can control, what will happen? How would I feel if I only concentrated on what I can do and treat the impossible like growth opportunities? That would place hope for improvement into my perception, a brief mental reprieve before returning to hard work training. If a full experience includes extremes and more than what I think then accepting the task is agreeing to learn from all of it. Who knows which areas of who I am this experience is meant to nurture? It could be one or multiple areas I don't yet realize.
