Having a disability has been a great teacher in my life. It has been an adventure to understand what it means for me and to correct the thoughts that were planted at the start.

When feeling disabled is a flash of realization at the moment, my perception determines my ability to move with it. I must know the cause of my reaction to find my solution.

 I used to be afraid of getting accused of giving up but then I realized that I can’t avoid the truth. Getting to know what is an illusion and what is real gives me the strength to embrace my reality. Choosing my wheelchair and embracing my disability is my way of loving myself and stopping the actions that deny my truth. There is more to a book beyond the cover you see.
