Respect Every Decision

They were little and had a deep curiosity for learning. They seemed to believe that knowledge was acquired through experience and wouldn’t listen to the guidance their parents gave them. They knew that their parents looked out for them and meant well but they couldn’t ignore the call they heard to experiment with Life. They weren’t interested in being safe, they were motivated to discover.

They knew that their family critiqued their choices, called them reckless and laughed at them when they met their mistakes, but this gave them more reason to keep following their path. It wasn’t about approval or getting it ‘right’, it was about being brave enough to listen to their intuition, step out and experience. They knew that people don’t have control over everything that happens, and they didn’t believe in any ability to predict what would happen without feeling it first. They purposely walked into situations that promised them experience.

In Life, people tend to want to stay safe or create comfort zones to avoid adversity and the intuition that whispers get buried under the precautions. If a person refuses to hear your logic, don’t fight to prove your way. Respect that they are listening to something you can’t hear and are being guided on their journey. Even if your prediction was correct, consider that the path and outcome of their journey is not meant to be the same as yours. Respect every decision and don’t assume that you must know.
