The Blank Canvas

It sat on an easel, blank and ready to receive. It held no particular guidance, yet it held endless possibilities. It openly surrendered to what its creator would provide.
Patiently anticipating transformation, assistive equipment slowly started to gather around it. Its imagination grew with the possibilities that it could hold but it knew to only receive for now.
Remaining clear, it anticipated the inspiration of its creator and stood ready to assist in a new creation. After looks of admiration and touches filled with care, it started to receive the tickle of strokes and prods of color. Caught in the inspiration that surrounded it, it accepted change openly. Thinking little and getting lost in the magic of creation. It flowed with the brushes of color and lines of detail to be reborn.
When the chaos of the creator's brush subsided, the canvas sat proudly on its easel knowing that it took part in beauty. Having accepted chaos and inspiration openly, it now presented something filled with color and care, and could pass on the inspiration entrusted to it by its creator.
Reflective Qs:
To what would you relate this canvas on an easel?
Do you ever find yourself as the canvas and the creator in your life?
Do you find yourself willing to openly accept chaos to transform into beauty?
Author's Note: Thinking about the ego’s concern about being considered blank and the discomfort of waiting without action, I imagined a canvas and what it goes through to become a work of art. I started relating to the transformation and imagining the unnoticed strokes of detail that happens in life that creates success.
